Dear Dr. Ihsanoglu:
It has been common practice for many years that the Government of Iran has unfortunately used every possible strategy and action to create crisis by separating and harming the Iranian people regarding their beliefs, religion and regional culture. These continued actions are opposed to the basic international human rights with respect to freedom of ideology and religion and the Islamic law. Almost everyday we are witnessing violation of human rights including: attacking mosques and educational centres teaching Holy Quran that belong to Sunni Muslims in Tehran, assaulting and arresting them in Sanandaj and other major cities, demolishing and burning the Hosseinieh (place of gathering and prayer) of Sufi Muslims in Qom and Boroujerd in Iran.
The latest news from Iran indicates that the security forces are once again setting the stage for attacking and demolishing another Hosseinieh, in Karaj, Iran. This Hosseinieh is one of the largest places of gathering for Sufi followers, and is also the home of one of the Sufi Masters, Mr. Yusuf Mardani. The repression by the authorities is coming amid about what appears to be increasing demonization of the Sufi Muslims in Iran.
As the Secretary General of Organization of the Islamic Conference, we are requesting you to make the voices of discouraged and suffering Iranian Muslims heard by the respective Muslim countries. The brutal action of the security forces which is against: true Islamic laws that are based on the Holy Quran and human and civil rights of a person, must clearly and loudly be condemned.
